The World's 25 Most Endangered Primates 2008-2010
"Top 3 most endangered primates in Indonesia"
This is my first international primatological meeting, the XXII congress of International Primatology Society in Edinburgh, Scotland, 3-8 August 2008. One of the prosecuted agendas is about The 25 most endangered Primate in the world. Its took very long discussion and debates to determine which species that will be included, and the last result I have checked in IUCN primate specialist website today that there are four species of Indonesian primates that included in the list of primate in peril, i.e Siau island tarsier (Tarsius Sp), Simakobu, (Simias concolor), Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abeli), and the last is the Javan slow Loris (Nycticebus javanicus).
