This is another threatened endemic primate in Central Java. Javan langur (
Trachipithecus auratus E.Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire,1812) we called “ Lutung” are still exist in remnant forest of Central java. I found this leaf monkey also together in the same habitat with two other Javan endemic primates (
Javan gibbon and
Javan fuscous leaf monkey). This photo was taken in Sokakembang forest, Pekalongan, Central Java Province, Indonesia. All Javan endemic primates in Central Java, recieve little attention from researcher and conservationist. They are lived in remnants-unprotected forest.They are heading to vanish due to habitat loss.
